HopeTree’s Independent Living program equips 16 to 21-year-olds to become self-sufficient adults capable of making positive contributions to society.
Our staff spends quality, one-on-one time with each participant, helping them strengthen skills such as food preparation, money management, educational planning, work life and self-care. They also learn valuable job search, budgeting, and social skills.
Elements of ILP include:
- Case management services
- Individual weekly goal review sessions
- Life Skills Curriculum
- Group meetings
- Skills training
- Regular staff supervision
Residents are required to work part-time, and must remain enrolled in an educational or vocational program. Those in high school have the option of attending Salem High School or enrolling in HopeTree Academy. Older participants may attend a local Community College or enroll in Continuing Education classes.
