The Mission of HopeTree Family Services is to provide Christian residential, educational, and support services to at-risk children and youth, and to adults with intellectual disabilities throughout Virginia.
In 1992, HopeTree family services established the Developmental Disabilities Ministry to provide Group Homes for adults with intellectual disabilities. We are currently licensed to by the Department of Behavioral Health to operate twenty (20) Group Homes throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Our purpose is to create an environment in which adults who carry a diagnosis of intellectual disabilities can experience the most independent and complete life possible. We believe the participants in our programs are capable, integral members of the community and can make contributions as valued members of society. Our focus is to render person centered supports for each individual and encourage individuals to develop natural supports and connections in the greater community. We work to make connections with churches, volunteer opportunities, civic groups and organization in the community.
A plan of supports, choices and preferences is developed and approved through the Waiver system. Individuals paying privately are assessed and a plan is developed with the individual and/or the substitute decision maker.
HopeTree is also licensed to provide In Home Services and Agency Directed Respite Services. HopeTree continues to expand the DDM program by adding an array of support services.
Persons interested in Group Home services, In Home Services or Respite Service may begin the admission process by obtaining an application from this web site or may call to discuss the services before completing the application.
